Infinity is the first book in the “Chronicles of Nick” series.
The story takes place in modern day New Orleans. Nick Gautier, the main protagonist, is an impoverished fourteen year old who lives in a condo with his mother. He attends a wealthy private school where he is mercilessly picked every day. After an encounter with the Dark-Hunter, Kyrian Hunter, Nick’s eyes begin to open to the demonic world that is hidden behind the veil of normalcy. But, just when Nick’s world couldn’t get crazy enough, his classmates are becoming living zombies and it is up to him and his friends to put a stop to it.
Nick Gautier is an amazingly good kid, given his circumstances. Growing in poor conditions and being forced into a school where everyone makes fun of you is enough to make anyone bitter. Despite this, Nick remains a good hearted kid. He is also street smart, strong willed, and smart mouthed making for a number of hilarious lines. Because he grew up in poor conditions, he is instantly distrusts anyone who is kind to him.
Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon is an amazing book. It is full of witty and sarcastic remarks. Sherrilyn Kenyon’s fun writing gives almost all characters a sarcastic side making serious situations hilarious. It is a fast-paced, action packed and enjoyable book. The plot continues to build as the story progresses, making for an action-packed, entertaining climax. This is one of the kinds of books where you lose track of time. It keeps you up into unholy hours of the night. Before reading this is highly recommend getting the as much of the series as possible. Each book ends with a cliff hanger that makes you want to read the next book immediately. This book is not only worth reading, it is worth re-reading countless times.
