Forged, by Erin Bowman, is the final book in the “Taken” trilogy.
After the events of Frozen, Gray has been taken to AmWest. He spends weeks there, working with the AmEast rebels and AmWest Expats. Now, he is anxious to help in the Rebellion. Between the time of the second and third books, the Order has gotten stronger and the Forgeries have become more developed. As, the Forgeries become more like their human counterpart, it becomes harder to tell friend from foe.
Gray’s restless, impatient character is more obvious than ever before. He often pesters people to allow him to go on missions. As he waits impatiently, he is given time to talk with Blaine. After the horrors that he was forced to endure in Frozen, he finds himself drifting away from his twin. He is also constantly chasing after Bree to try and regain her love. Over the course of the series, we haven't seen much change in Gray's character. What we can tell is that Gray has realized how dangerous and sad the real world is. He has seen death and given death and he carries more burdens than he probably deserves to carry.
This book was a great finale to the series. It was action packed from start to finish. It was kind of annoying to have Gray chasing Bree so adamantly, but it was better than the love triangle of the previous book. . After the incident with Emma in Frozen, everyone is on the look out for Forgeries. Suspense carries throughout the book and there are many surprising plot twists.
I give this 373 page book 4.5 stars.

Taken
This world has two settings. One it the enclosed town of Claysoot which lives in a 3rd world country-like setting.
The second setting is the futuristic countries of AmEast and AmWest.
